We booked the Wellesley for a quick transit night between the ferry and an early morning train, specifically choosing a hotel to avoid the complex, unassisted check-ins of an Airbnb. It turned out to be a terrible choice.
After a storm delayed our ferry, we arrived at 6:30 PM to find a vacant building with a locked door. In my experience, a "hotel" has staff available in the early evening. Instead, it took us 30 frustrating minutes just to figure out how to get inside.
Be warned: check-in is strictly 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Outside that narrow window, you are completely on your own. We never saw a single staff member during our entire stay, including checkout. If you expect basic hotel hospitality and assistance, look elsewhere.

Wouldn't stay here again. Got gifted a gift card that had a year expiry and tried to book one day overdue and they wouldn't take it. So they happily took money for nothing. Luckily the law has now changed to prevent companies from doing dodgy things like this, but it still shows that this hotel don't value their guests. Avoid.

Our overall stay at the Wellesley Boutique Hotel was great, good instructions for after hour check in and a beautiful lobby.

Had one night here so can't say much about the service and location, we found a couple of places to get drinks and food both reasonably close. Good hotel, comfortable bed well equipped room. Would of liked more time to explore the building.

Beautiful place in an amazing old building. Love the aesthetic here, from the stiarwell to the lift to the claw foot bathtubs. Very beautiful and well cared for hotel.
